SILIGURI

How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him that bringeth good tidings, that publisheth peace; that bringeth good tidings of good, that publisheth salvation; that saith unto Zion, Thy God reigneth! –
Isaiah 52:7

 PROJECT SILIGURI

Siliguri is one of the most strategic location for missions worldwide.

From Siliguri you are at the border of Nepal [formerly the only Hindu kingdom in the world] in 45 minutes, the border of Bhutan [the only Buddist kingdom in the world is 4 hours away], the border of Bangladesh [the most densely populated Islamic country in the world is 45 minutes away], and the border of Tibet is only 5 hours away.

From Siliguri we can train and send forth evangelists and church planters that could potentially reach out to more than 2.5 billion souls in 5 nations. Siliguri is also a crossroads for NE India and Myanmar [Burma].

The Vision 2020 Asia have already trained many people through their Baptist School’s of Evangelism in Sikkim, N. India and Manipur, NE India.

The 27th BSE [Baptist School of Evangelism] graduation took place in July 2012 in Siliguri with 8 students. Two could not come to the graduation. This program have already graduated about 500 students.

“It is my prayer that you will become involved in partnering with us in helping us reach these millions of unreached souls. It is estimated that the largest concentration of unreached people groups in the world reside in North India”.
